A dedication ceremony for the new pavilion in Lawrenceburg’s Veterans Park is scheduled for next Thursday, July 10, at 10:00 a.m. The City of Lawrenceburg and Lawrence County Government were partners in the project.
Veterans Park was developed after a 1998 flood destroyed homes in the area. It offers a walking path along Shoal Creek, RV sites, and now, a comfortable spot for gatherings.
The Park is dedicated to all veterans, and is named for H.C. Edwards, Sr., who was Lawrence County’s last surviving veteran of World War I.
