The Lawrence County Board of Commissioners met in Special Session on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The following resolutions were approved:
Amended the Fiscal Year 2025–2026 Lawrence County Budget.
Approved amendments to the Lawrence County Board of Education Budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026.
Adopted a continuing budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, authorizing the expenditure of funds pending adoption of the annual budget

Commissioner Tammy Wisdom
Authorized a one-time contribution of $1,077,053 from the General Fund to Lawrence County Fire & Rescue, Inc.
Approved the State of Tennessee’s option to purchase the Southern Tennessee Higher Education Center property and authorized the County Executive to execute the agreement.
Confirmed the reappointment of Brent McKamey to a second term on the Lawrence County Public Library Board.
