This morning marked the celebration of the newly remodeled Veterans Service Office and its new location. The building, which formerly housed the Election Commission, has been renovated to better serve the veterans of Lawrence County. The Election Commission has relocated to 702 Mahr Ave. in Lawrenceburg.
Several County Commissioners and other local elected officials were also in attendance to show their support.
Lawrence County Executive David Morgan opened with a prayer, expressed appreciation to the veterans present and those across Lawrence County, and spoke briefly about the work of the Lawrence County Maintenance Department in completing the remodel under the leadership of Maintenance Director Mark Brewer.
The Veterans Service Director Donnie Morris delivered remarks and recognized those who contributed to making the project possible. Lawrenceburg City Mayor Blake Lay also shared brief comments, thanking everyone involved in bringing the project to completion.
A special thank you to the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce for organizing and coordinating the occasion.
