County Executive David Morgan
The Lawrence County Board of Commissioners met for its Regular Session on Tuesday evening (Rescheduled from January 27, 2026). Highlights from the meeting include:
Approval of a resolution honoring the life and service of Charles W. “Charlie” Holt, Jr., including naming the Lawrence County Judicial Annex in his honor.
Ryan Durham was elected as Lawrence County Attorney.
Misti Baker was appointed as Lawrence County Purchasing Agent.

Approval of the 2026 Lawrence County Road List.
Barry Luffman was appointed to the Agricultural Extension Service Committee.
Scott Franks was appointed to the Tennessee Southern Railroad Authority.
Approval of a recommendation to TDOT to designate a bridge in honor of Johnny R. Thompson.
Circuit Court Clerk Tommy Lee Kidd and Library Director Marie Brennan were both appointed to the County Public Records Commission.
Several honorariums were acknowledged and will be recognized in a separate post.
